In general pediatrics, our patients range from newborns to adolescents and young adults. Our aim is to offer an individually adapted, holistic treatment for our patients.
Dr. Mädel is trained to treat acute pediatric diseases and emergencies. In addition to determining the blood count and CRP value (inflammation parameter), a range of rapid tests (swab-testing) for RSV (rhinosyncitial virus), influenza (real flu) and streptococcus (tonsillitis) can be performed directly at the private practice. We offer further laboratory examinations in collaboration with an external laboratory institute (samples are collected and forwarded on the same day).
Pediatric ultrasound examinations are performed by a highly specialized colleague at our medical center. In addition, bacteriological or virological swabs can be taken and analyzed by an external laboratory partner (skin, nose/throat swabs for recurrent infections, as well as stool and urine examinations). Advanced special examinations which cannot be offered at the private practice can be performed at the Pediatric Department of Wilhelminen Hospital, where Dr. Mädel is a consultant.
